Jewelology is a London jewellery and art atelier for meaningful adornment, creative expression and inner connection.

Based inside Firepit Art Gallery at the O2, North Greenwich, we bring together jewellery making workshops, bespoke jewellery design and gentle art healing experiences. Here, you are invited to slow down, work with your hands, and create something that holds beauty, memory and intention.

Our studio offers silver ring making workshops, wax carving classes, wedding ring workshops, bespoke symbolic jewellery design, somatic art healing sessions and mindful creative workshops in London.

At Jewelology, jewellery is more than decoration. It can be a personal symbol, an emotional anchor, a love token, a memory holder, or a quiet reminder to return to yourself.

Breathe in Art | Infuse with Love | Wear Your Story

Jewellery Making Workshops in London

Our jewellery making workshops in London are designed for complete beginners as well as anyone who wants to explore meaningful handcraft in a calm and inspiring art gallery setting.

You can create your own 999 fine silver ring from a strip of silver, carve a design in wax, make a pair of wedding rings, or explore symbolic jewellery through texture, stone, form and personal inscription.

Each workshop begins with material, touch and craftsmanship. You will learn traditional jewellery-making techniques such as measuring, forming, soldering, filing, sanding, polishing, hand stamping and stone setting, while also being gently guided to consider what your piece may carry for you.

It may hold love, calm, strength, creativity, protection, joy, memory, or a new beginning.

Our jewellery workshops are suitable for creative dates, birthdays, anniversaries, meaningful gifts, private celebrations, team activities and personal creative time.

Bespoke Jewellery & Custom Jewellery Design

Alongside our workshops, Jewelology also offers bespoke jewellery design and custom jewellery experiences in London.

If you would like to create a more personal piece, we can work with you to design jewellery that reflects your story, inner qualities, relationship, life transition, symbolic intention or emotional theme.

Your bespoke jewellery may begin with a stone, a memory, a word, a drawing, a dream, a birth element, a zodiac sign, a meaningful date, or an inner quality you want to honour.

We can guide you through materials, gemstones, colours, textures, forms and inscriptions, helping you create a piece that feels beautiful, wearable and personally meaningful.

Our bespoke jewellery design service is suitable for:

  • Personal symbolic jewellery

  • Bespoke rings

  • Wedding rings

  • Commitment rings

  • Memorial jewellery

  • Birthstone jewellery

  • Meaningful gifts

  • Jewellery for emotional milestones

  • Jewellery inspired by art healing and personal storytelling

Each piece is designed to become a wearable object of meaning — something shaped through natural metals, gemstones, craftsmanship and personal intention.

Art Healing & Jewellery as Inner Connection

Jewelology also offers somatic art healing, mindful art workshops and private creative sessions for emotional wellbeing and inner connection.

Our approach is gentle, creative and body-aware. Through drawing, colour, movement, touch and symbolic reflection, we invite you to listen to your inner world and reconnect with your own rhythm.

This art healing approach also informs the way we create jewellery.

When you make or design a piece at Jewelology, you are not only choosing a material or a shape. You are also giving form to something personal: a feeling, a memory, a relationship, a hope, or an inner quality you want to carry with you.

A ring, pendant or gemstone can become a small anchor in daily life — a reminder of love, calm, strength, creativity, protection or joy.

Q&A - For people trying somatic art for the first time

1. Do I need to be good at art?

No. You do not need any art skills. Sessions use simple marks, colours and gentle movements to help your body relax and your mind slow down; the focus is on how it feels, not on making a perfect picture.

2. What happens in a first session?

A typical first session at the beautiful Firepit Art Gallery next to the O2 in North Greenwich might include:

  • a short check‑in and simple breathing or grounding exercise

  • guided, easy drawing movements and colour exploration that match how you feel

  • time to notice body sensations and how they change

  • space to reflect, if you wish, on any images or feelings that emerged

You can keep your artwork private or share parts that feel comfortable.

3. Is it safe if I have never done anything like this?

The process is gentle and trauma‑sensitive. You stay in control of your pace, what you share and when you pause. The focus is on building safety, regulation and curiosity rather than pushing you into intense memories.

4. How is this different from traditional art therapy?

Art therapy in the UK is a protected, HCPC‑regulated profession often practised within clinical or mental health settings. Jewelology offers somatic and mindful art‑based healing, which is a complementary wellbeing practice, not formal psychotherapy. We emphasise nervous system regulation, creativity and self‑discovery, and you can combine it with counselling, coaching or other support if you wish.

5. Who is somatic art suitable for?

Somatic art can be helpful if you:

  • feel stressed, anxious or “stuck in your head”

  • find it hard to put feelings into words

  • want a calm, creative way to unwind after work near North Greenwich

  • are curious about body‑based or creative approaches to wellbeing

6. What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and that you do not mind getting a bit of paint or charcoal on. All materials are provided. You are welcome to bring a notebook if you like to write reflections.

7. How long are sessions and how often should I come?

Intro taster workshops usually last 60–90 minutes, and ongoing groups or 1:1 sessions can be arranged weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your needs and schedule. Many people start with a taster session and then decide whether they want a short series or a longer journey.

8. Where exactly are you located?

We are based at Firepit Art Gallery at the O2, on Greenwich Peninsula, a short walk from North Greenwich Underground station (Jubilee line). This makes us easy to reach from Canary Wharf, central London and the surrounding Greenwich area.
